This week we learned about surface area of prisms and cylinders. Remember that surface area is the sum of the area of all faces. Area of a rectangle is length x width. Area of a triangle is base x height divided by 2. Area of a circle is 3.14 x r x r. Circumference of a circle is 3.14 x the diameter. The surface of a cylinder is 3.14 x r x r x 2 + 3.14 x diameter x height. The assignments were workbook p.54-55 # 2-6 and p. 186 #3-12. The chapter test will be Thursday, January 21st.
